Knowledge and understanding of the essential elements of clinical and instrumental diagnoses in the field of audio-vestibular pathologies. The student must acquire the ability to interpret, from a clinical and diagnostic point of view, the different clinical pictures presented, with particular attention to the differential diagnosis of hearing loss and peripheral vertigo. Finally, he must acquire the basis for a correct therapeutic framework.
Course Structure
Frontal lessons.
The themes of the program will be discussed with the aid of slides and the proposed topics will be the subject of collective discussion and in-depth analysis on the basis of any questions that arise during the lessons themselves.

Detailed Course Content
In-depth study of the anatomy, physiology and semiotics of the auditory and vestibular system.
Hearing loss: epidemiology, classification, etiology, risk factors and consequences of permanent hearing loss in childhood and adults; Hearing screening procedures.
Theoretical bases of the recording method of subjective and objective audiometric techniques and their interpretation.
Diagnostic and clinical bases regarding the main pathologies of the auditory system and vestibular system; differential diagnosis and notes on medical, surgical and prosthetic therapy.
